Russia probes into military facility blast in Vladimir region
The Russian Defense Ministry launched an investigation into an explosion at an ammunition depot in the Vladimir region on Tuesday, reported Xinhua.
The ministry said a fire broke out at a military unit in Vladimir, causing the detonation of ammunition stored at the warehouse on site. No casualties were reported, according to preliminary information.
The initial cause of the fire is believed to be a violation of safety regulations during operations involving explosive materials, it said in a statement.
The ministry has set up a special commission led by Deputy Minister of Defense Andrey Bulyga to investigate the incident, it added.
