2 killed in house fire in southern Spain

Two people were killed in an early-morning house fire on Thursday in southern Spain, according to regional emergency services, reported Xinhua.
The fire broke out at around 8 a.m. local time in a two-storey residential building in the town of Alhaurin el Grande, in the province of Malaga, the Andalusian 112 emergency coordination center said, as reported by Spanish news agency EFE.
Several witnesses alerted emergency services after spotting the fire and reporting that people were trapped inside the house. Firefighters, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene, but two occupants were pronounced dead.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
