2 dead, 10 injured in car crash in Spain
Two people have died and ten others were injured, including three seriously, after a car crashed into a restaurant terrace in Fuengirola, southern Spain, on Thursday night, local authorities confirmed on Friday, reported Xinhua.
The driver of the car, a 45-year-old woman who has been charged, had tested positive for alcohol and was found to be driving without a valid license.
The accident occurred at around 10 p.m. local time on the seafront promenade of the popular tourist destination near Malaga.
The woman had earlier collided with a streetlight and was attempting to flee the scene when she lost control of the car, striking tables on the terrace before colliding with another vehicle.
One of the victims was a 47-year-old woman who was in the passenger seat of the car that caused the crash. The second fatality was a 25-year-old pedestrian.
