Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a telephone conversation with European leaders including President Alexander Stubb after holding meeting with US President Donald Trump in White House on Friday.
“I spoke with our European partners – the leaders of the United Kingdom. I shared details of my conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump. We discussed many important issues. The main priority now is to protect as many lives as possible, guarantee security for Ukraine, and strengthen all of us in Europe,” Zelenskyy wrote in a post on his social media platform X early Saturday (Finnish time) night.
Stubb also wrote in a post on his X that the European leaders assured Zelenskyy to continue all-out support to Ukraine.
“Just finished a call with Zelenskyy of Ukraine and European leaders. We stand firm in our support to Ukraine. This entails military and financial aid, security guarantees, a ceasefire and a peace process,” Stubb said.
Zelenskyy said that the national security advisors will discuss the next steps.
“We are coordinating our positions. I am grateful for the conversation, for all the support, and for the readiness to stand with Ukraine,” he added.
