Poland detains Nord Stream explosions suspect wanted by Germany

Volodymyr Z, a Ukrainian citizen wanted by Germany over his alleged involvement in the Nord Stream explosions, has been detained in Poland on Tuesday, according to Polish local media RMF24, reported Xinhua.
RMF24 reported that the man had been wanted under a European arrest warrant issued by a German court.
The report states that Volodymyr Z. was detained in Pruszkow, about 15 km west of Warsaw, and has been transferred to the Warsaw Regional Prosecutor's Office, with extradition proceedings expected to begin soon.
His lawyer also confirmed that Volodymyr Z. was detained on Tuesday in a small town near Warsaw.
According to RMF24, citing German authorities, the man is a diving instructor. In September 2022, he sailed from Rostock to the Baltic Sea on a yacht, then went underwater to place explosives on the submarine pipeline.
