Two people were killed and another injured in a shooting that took place Friday morning in southern Poland, reported Xinhua, quoting the Polish Press Agency.
The incident took place around 10 a.m. local time (0800 GMT) in the village of Stara Wies, situated within Limanowa Municipality in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.
A 57-year-old suspect opened fire inside a house, shooting three people before fleeing into a nearby forest, according to local media. Authorities have released the name and image of the alleged gunman, and a large-scale manhunt is currently in progress.
"We are using massive police forces, drones, dogs – catching the perpetrator is an absolute priority," said Minister of the Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak in response to questions about the incident.
