At least 12 people were killed and more than 50 others injured in a Russian ballistic missile attack on central Ukraine's city of Kryvyi Rih on Friday, reported Xinhua, quoting a local official.
Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city's defense council, wrote on Telegram that the missile struck a residential area.
Among those dead were three children, according to Dnipropetrovsk regional governor Sergii Lysak.
The attack damaged high-rise apartment buildings and sparked fires of garages and cars, Lysak said in a statement.
